Micromachined Inertial Sensors are vibrating gyros, resonant accelerometers, pendulous accelerometers, and other sensors made in the form of semiconductor chips via the MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical System) process.

While the production costs of Micromachined Inertial Sensors are low, they are robust against shock and vibration. Integrated with GNSSs(Global Navigation Satellite System) Micromachined Interntial Sensors are now replacing tactical grade mechanical/optical inertial sensors.

Micromachined Inertial Sensors are used in a number of guided weapon systems in Korea.
