The Airborne ECM System (ALQ-200) is a self-protection jammer system which enhances survivability of fighters by disturbing the radar of enemy's air defense systems (SAM, AI, AAA) and missile seekers.

The ALQ-200's capabilities include:
 - Automatic detection and identification of radar signals
 - Direction finding 
 - Electrical beamforming for high power radiation
 - Selection of jamming targets and techniques based on threat situations
 - Defeating of multiple threats simultaneously with adaptive digital jamming techniques
