The satellite reconnaissance system in outer space acquires imagery intelligence on mission areas and transmits it to the ground, and is the key system of the kill chain for the performance of image formation, target identification, readout and decision making on the ground.

The Agency for Defense Development (ADD) has secured technologies for the future development of a space-based surveillance and reconnaissance system by successfully completing the development of imaging radar, an infrared camera, and a satellite image data receiving and processing system, which are the key subsystems of a reconnaissance satellite.
