Hyperspectral Image Equipment is an electro-optic sensor that enables real-time target detection and classification by using intrinsic spectral information of objects.

The equipment is capable of detecting and classifying "real targets" as well as concealed/camouflaged/mock targets using spectral information obtained by dividing objects' detailed wavelengths.

Operation from aerial and satellite platforms is expected to significantly enhance the capability to acquire information and identify targets.
