AI-based Autonomy is one of the core technologies for robot systems which will significantly enhance robots' mission efficiency. All aspects of autonomy — from autonomy perception to decision-making — are currently under development at ADD.

Current researches focus on rough terrain operations that are notably different from autonomous drivings in cities. Using cutting-edge technologies, research robots recognize traversable regions and maneuver safely under dynamic situations.

AI-based Autonomy technologies are expected to significantly reinforce Korea's self-reliant defense capabilities.
