The Hyunmoo guided missile system with deep strike precision capability is currently in service for military operation with the goal of striking at fixed ground targets in the rear when there is provocation by the enemy.

The launcher and battery command post are designed to be a vehicle-mounted mobile mode. The missile is an all-weather guided weapon system based on an inertial guidance system. It uses a two-stage solid propulsion system.
